One of the first things people do when they first see the garment that I call a "narrow shawl" is to play with different ways to wear it. By putting fringe on the long side, I've made something that looks fancier than a scarf.
Here are a few of the ways it can be worn...
It can pinned with the fringe on top and bottom to act like a butterfly capelet.
It can be folded in half and worn like a scarf.
It can be gathered informally and worn like a scarf.
It can be draped over one shoulder, pinned on the other side like a sash.
It can be closed like a vest and pinned in the front.
It can be pinned lower, beneath a folded collar/lapel to look like an informal vest.
