It's happening! The boxes are arriving in the mail from companies all over the country as I place sample orders to get a feel for the products, reliability, and customer service of different suppliers.
In the next few weeks, I should have enough black yarn to start warping the batch of black cloth...
...and it's about time! I received another dozen requests for black cloth this weekend.

Sample order? Both those boxes hold cones with the same labels - is 24 cones a sample order? How many places/jobbers did you finally find with good prices? I really enjoy following your progress!

Yeah, 50 lbs is a sample order. I need over 200 lbs for each batch of cloth. I found 2 or 3 potentials, all written in the comments on the post looking for sources. Add WEBS and Halcyon and you have my vendor test orders...
Sometimes I can hardly believe how much yarn moves through my studio. I've got about 1000 lbs right now and it feels kind of bare. There isn't enough for a whole batch of any color without buying more.
